Hurry over to Facebook and grab a FREE sample of Frizz Ease Smooth Start Shampoo and Conditioner by John Frieda!

                          While Supplies last!

Easter Craft Idea

Spring into Easter with a fun craft for kids of all ages - welcome the Easter Bunny with this "Welcome Wreath"!
Easter Bunny Craft Supplies:

- Cardboard (cereal box works great!)
- Paper
- Something to color with (e.g. crayons, markers, colored pencils, ect)
- Glue
- Tape
- String or yarn
- Plates

Easter Bunny Craft Directions:

#1. Start by tracing a large plate over cardboard (it doesn't matter if there are creases in thecardboard). After you finish, take a smaller plate and line it up in the center of your traced circle. Now trace that plate.

#2. Cut out the smaller circle and throw it away.

#3. Cut out the larger circle.

#4. Print out some eggs and color them in however you want. Draw stars, bunny foot prints, circles - anything! Cut them out when you're done.

#5. Start gluing/taping the eggs around your circle one at a time, allowing the eggs to slightlyoverlap. Be sure to leave an empty space at the end for the bunny face!

#6. Print out a bunny face and color it in. Cut it out.

#7. Tape/glue the bunny face to the reef (Hint: if planning to place wreath outside, you may want to glue/tape the ears down to make sure they don't flap or tear in the wind!)

#8. Now cut about 2 1/2 inches of yarn or string.

#9. Secure the ends to the back of the reef with tape, creating a loop that will allow you to hang your wreath for display. And you're done!

You now have a beautiful wreath to welcome the Easter Bunny on April 24!

Honoring the Military

This post brought to you by Ashworth College. All opinions are 100% mine.
I love it a business honor our military and I'm proud to tell you that an accredited college is doing just that.
Ashworth College is helping the military personnel get back into the civilian world with ease. Ashworth college is now enrolling students using their post 9/11 GI Bill. Military personnel AND their families can now receive up to $13,500/ 36 months of education benefits.

I love the fact that Ashworth College is 100% online, you can do your school work around your life. That's important for service men and women who come home and want to spend time with their families. It's also very affordable, and accredited.

Ashworth college already offers tuition that is fifty percent less than the average accredited online school, which means benefits go even further whether it is taking more classes or having benefits  to share with a spouse or dependant.  You also don't have to worry if you happen to be deployed or transferred to a new city, state or country while attending college.  Ashworth College automatically transfers with you.

Wouldn't  it be nice to graduate without debt? Because of your military benefits and Ashworth College's low tuition you can do that! I have friends who are STILL paying off their college loans and in this economy people aren't going back to school for that very reason, but as a military member attending Ashworth College, You wouldn't have to worry about that.

If you're interested in furthering your education for little or no out-of-pocket expense, then contact the  team of Military Advisors at Ashworth College today!  Ashworth College

Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 - Rodrick Rules Review

Wimpy Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon), now in seventh grade, thinks he has it all together. He has mastered middle school and gotten rid of the Cheese Touch.

However, Greg's older brother, Rodrick (Devon Bostick), is itching to cut him down to size. He gets the perfect opportunity when their mother (Rachael Harris) tries to force the boys to bond. Rodrick may be Greg's chief tormentor, but he feels his constant pranks are just what his little brother needs to prepare him for life's hard knocks.

My Thoughts - Maybe I have the mentality of a middle schooler but I really enjoyed this movie, I'm not sure who liked it more, the parents or the kids. I'm not going to give anything away but my girls did learn some life lessons about sibling rivalry and love. My oldest actually said, I'll never treat my sister like that, my response - We'll see. This was the perfect family movie, very funny!

Freebie Alert - Free kindle version of 50 ways to Hex your lover

When she isn't getting into trouble with her oddball companions—a vicious pair of bunny slippers and a frustrated ghost who haunts her sports car—hot-tempered witch Jazz Tremaine earns money lifting hexes and driving limos for Southern California's All Creatures Limo Service.
When the vampire cop she's loved and hated for centuries, Nikolai Gregorivich, seeks her help in catching a serial vampire slayer, Jazz fends him off to focus on her own problems (the sleazeball limo service owner; a client who generates supernaturally disgusting odors). She can't resist her sexy vamp lover for long, though, especially as clues in the killings point to an evil figure from her past. With clever writing, a high sensuality factor and an unfettered imagination, Wisdom makes a sparkling entry into lite urban paranormals.

This looked like a fun little read I found on Amazon for Free (you can download the kindle app to your computer or phone!)

What I can tell you but couldn't tell our waiter

You'd think with having a four year old and a six year old, the days of diaper bags would be over.
Yes, you would think. I know I did. Apparently NOT around here.
A couple of weeks ago we all got dress up and went out to a HIbatchi and Sushi restaurant. It was the first time for the girls.

We were sitting around the Hibatchi table waiting for our appetizers when my husband made a funny face because my little one broke wind at the table. He asked her to please not do that even though it's a huge joke at home as to who farts the loudest. Yes, I know that's gross. Finally he leaned over and whispered in my ear, 'The smell isn't going away, maybe you should take her into the bathroom.' Well that's what I did when I realized her butt had exploded. That's why she smelled so bad! Poor baby explained she was trying to fart and well.... you know.

I cleaned her up and had to throw away her undies. The bathroom smelled so horrible when we were done and thankfully she didn't get any of her dress. Poor baby had to go commando, yes I know BAD MOM but we lived too far away and had just ordered a Hibatchi dinner and a ton of sushi. She was okay. She had on a long dress and when the chief did the volcano thing with the onions she was a happy camper.

She did ask my not to tell the hostess or waiter but she didn't say I couldn't tell you.

No I carry a VERY large purse packed with wipes, undies, and even extra outfits because I am NEVER going through that again!

The Baby Planner [Book Review]

Katie Johnson may make her living consulting with new moms on the latest greatest baby gadgets no parent should be without, or which mommy meet-ups are the most socially desirable, or whether melon truly is the new black, but the success of her marriage to her husband, Alex, depends on controlling her own urges toward motherhood.

He's adamant that they stay childless. Sure, Katie understands that he's upset over the fact that his out-of-town ex-wife rarely lets him see their ten-year-old son, Peter. But living vicariously through her anxious clients and her twin sisters' precocious children only makes Katie resent his stance more deeply.

While helping a new client—Seth Harris, a high tech entrepreneur who must raise Sadie, his newborn daughter, as a single parent after the tragic death of his wife in childbirth—maneuver the bittersweet journey from mourning husband and reticent father to loving dad, Katie's own ideals about love, marriage, and motherhood are put to the test as she learns ones very important lesson about family: How we nurture is the true nature of love

My Thoughts -
This book would make a great book club selection. There is so much to talk about! I read it in one day, I just couldn't put it down. That says a lot because I am a very busy woman.
Katie was very likeable and my heart went out to her because she wanted a baby so badly. Just when you 'think' you have this book figured out there are a few twists and turns in it for you. I highly recommend it!

Freebie Alert - Free kindle version of Becoming A Woman of Freedom

The Christian life is supposed to be like a race-a race we run freely, unhindered by the burdens of this life. But often, the baggage we carry holds us back. It deprives us of our freedom in Christ and makes the race seem strenuous and futile.

If you ever feel that you're not making progress, lacking joy, or being weighed down by your Christian life-in spite of all you're doing to grow and serve-Becoming a Woman of Freedom will give you a second wind.

No matter what your age, circumstance, or spiritual maturity, Cynthia Heald will help you identify and lay aside the burdens that can make you feel "stuck," including past hurt and loss, poor self-image, approval-seeking, busyness, doubt and fear, and unhealthy influences.

"The goal of this study," writes Cynthia Heald, "is to help and encourage you through the Word, through the thoughts of those who have run the race ahead of you, and through your own reflections on the race you are running."

With challenging insights and thought-provoking quotations from classic thinkers and writers, Becoming a Woman of Freedom will put you on the road to freedom-and help you develop the actions and attitudes you'll need to finish the race with strength.

An Atlas of Impossible Longing [Book Review]

"They were not sketches. They were a declaration of love."

An Atlas of Impossible Longing: A Novel
The first thing I noticed when opening this book for the first time was a "Cast of Characters" page. This worried me a bit. Often when you see this, you are about to embark upon a seriously confusing book, but this was not the case at all with An Atlas of Impossible Longing. Not only was it easy to follow, I have to say this is the best book I have read in years. I absolutely loved it and fell in love with the characters.

Set in India during the first half of the twentieth century, Ms. Roy tells the stories of 3 generations in 3 parts. In the first part, we meet Amulya, a faithful, if inattentive husband of Kananbala who slowly goes mad and is eventually locked away in an upstairs room where she witnesses a murder. The second part focuses on Amulya and Kananbala's grown children, young granddaughter, Bakul, and young orphan, Mukunda, adopted by the family. I found the story of forbidden love in the second part to be absolutely delicious. The third part is told by the now grown Mukunda who longs to be reunited with his childhood friend, Bakul.
